Hiking Guide 101
Showing beginners how to start hiking

Chapter Two
Weather
Know  when  to  go

Know the weather condition before you go.

I would check a week out before I go and also the day of the hike.

Will the day be sunny? Rainy and windy? Is there a chance of snow or thunder and lightning?

You should be prepared for any weather, but knowing the forecast gives you a game plan on how much sunscreen or rain gear to pack. Or if you should just stay home and pick another date.

Also remember to check the forecast, hours before and after your scheduled  hike. No one is the Boss of mother-nature, she has and will change her mind.

For your 1st hike I would pick a mild day to hike, not to cold and not to hot. Something that is just right for you.

Remember that you will generate some body heat while hiking.

Always keep the seasons in mind.
